From school girl to the worlds first supermodel.
“Life is about making choices: you can either spend three quid on a glossy magazine or you can spend it clearing three square metres of minefield and help give people their lives back. As simple as that”.

Leslie Hornby (Twiggy) was born in North London on September 19th, 1949. She was discovered in 1966 and became, almost over night, the worlds first supermodel. The Daily Express named her “The face of 66″. She brought something new to the world of fashion, with her deer-like eyes, her adrogynous figure and her short hair. The people, designers and photographers loved her but after only four years in the modelling business, she decided to quit and only accept special offers. She was the most photographed face of the world and has been on the covers of Vogue, Seventeen and Newsweek, to mention some. She is also a successful actress, singer, designer and TV presenter.
Twiggy was the forerunner for the Boho-chic style. A style that is influenced by the bohemian and hippie culture. Today stars like Sienna Miller, Kate Moss and the Olsen Twins has embraced the style, that is perfect for festival summers. The typical Twiggy style consists of mini skirts, short dresses with floral patterns, bows or ribbons, over-sized sun glasses and hippie elements.
“I loved it, it was like a dream come true, a fairy story. It was certainly better than going to school, which was the only other thing I`d ever done.”

“ I`m not as skinny as I used to be, thank God. I`d look very strange if I was. I`m slim. I eat healthily because that`s the way I prefer to eat and I`m sure it helps keep the weight off”.
