Elizabeth Rosemond Taylor was born in London on February 27, 1932. She started dancing at a young age and performed for the princesses Elizabeth and Margareth when she was three. Her parents was American and the family moved back to Los Angeles shortly after World War 2 started. Her acting career started when she was ten years old and signed with Universial Studios. Elizabeth got her break through in 1944, in National Velvet. She got married for the first time when she was only seventeen and has inn all been married eight times. She was a great actress but also became very famous for her turbulent love life. She won the Academy Award for best Actress (Oscar) twice.

Elizabeth Taylor lost a close friend to HIV/AIDS and she started her work to find a cure for the disease. She launched the Elizabeth Taylor HIV/AIDS Foundation in 1991. She died on March 23, 2011.

She became the true Hollywood diva and always looked like a star. Glamourous dresses, diamonds to die for and great fur coats is some elements from her signature style. One of her favorite designer was Christian Dior.
